In this videogame, Lisa Pettersson invites the player to explore a dimension called Utopia. A place where harmony exists between all living beings. The player speaks with the inhabitants of the Utopia as the kidnapped human Aeza.
The textures of the immersive world emulate the artist's photographs, from the leaves to the fur of a family dog and a taxidermed lynx. Through the artist’s practice, Lisa explores how reality and escapism shape our fantasies.
This Utopia is not imagined by an AI, it's built by the artist's hands, from pencil sketches, stories, photographs, and different digital tools like 3D-programs — as an attempt to reclaim digital creation as an act of human imagination.
